This summer I’ve been intentional about pulling out my DSLR camera and actually using it to it’s fullest potential! It’s been fun to capture the simple moments of our little families lives in photos. Memories of the little things that I never want to forget! The days are long but the weeks fly by. This past week was spent savoring the slow season before the rush of the fall.
[ August 8- 14th ]
We had several slow mornings. Mornings where no one had to rush to leave. Mornings with delicious slow brew coffee (we like the clever dripper), journaling, reading and tickles on the couch. Harrison is obsessed with his “astronaut” pajamas, aka footed pajamas no matter how hot it is outside.
In attempts to keep the house cooler, we did quite a bit of cooking outside this week. Including a big rib bbq on the smoker (which I didn’t get photos of) with neighbors. Stephen loves to bbq anything and everything so it’s not just a treat to eat but the process is fulfilling as well.
In the evenings we also went over the check the process of our new home! It’s just a few miles away and construction is finally finished.. we should be moving fairly soon! The kids have had such a fun time running around the empty home.
We had a few play dates, park lunches and even a drip to the splash pad (all too busy for pictures). Our local video store decided to tap into a new market and sell sno-cones. At $1.50 for a small cup of shaved ice and loads of sugar, you really can’t compete! Our kids loved their special treat!
Of course we headed to church on Sunday for our life group classes and worship service.
